Alhaj Moin Uddin Khan Badal was elected to Parliament from Chittagong-7 in 2008 as a candidate of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal. He was also a candidate of the Grand Alliance. On 26 February 2009, he visited the gates of Bangladesh Rifles headquarters during the Bangladesh Rifles mutiny and met mutineers. He is an adviser of the CVO Petrochemical Refinery, a public limited company. He served as the Executive President of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal. He was elected to parliament again in 2014 from Chittagong-8. On 17 June 2015, he called upon the speaker of the parliament to issue a ruling to prevent the money laundering from Bangladeshi banks. In 2016, Badal and Sharif Nurul Ambia led a breakaway fraction of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal. The split happened after the President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal, Hasanul Haq Inu, appointed Shirin Akhter, Member of Parliament, the General Secretary of the Party. The appointment was opposed by Alhaj Moin Uddin Khan Badal and Sharif Nurul Ambia. He blamed Inu for the slit in the party. On 1 March 2017, he criticised Human Rights Watch for its report on Bangladesh and denied allegations of torture against the government. Alhaj Shamsul Huq Foundation's Chief Advisor, as well as various steps taken by him, has already been highly appreciated in every where. At least three lakh people have benefited from various projects. This number is increasing every day in the various programs of humanity running across the country.

He passed SSC exam in 1975 and HSC in 1978. He graduated from the University of Chittagong with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Chittagong. He passed the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination and joined the civil service on 7 February.
During his nearly three-decade long career as an officer of the BCS (Administration) cadre, he served in various governmental duties.
Mr. Md. Jamal Uddin Ahmed worked as Assistant Commissioner in the Divisional Office, Rajshahi and DC Office Sirajganj. Chowhali, Sirajganj as Assistant Commissioner (Land); As a Senior Assistant Commissioner, he served as Feni Collectorate Magistrate and served on the Power Development Board as a First Class Magistrate. Subsequently as Senior Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism; He worked in the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources. Served as Deputy Secretary, Public Administration Ministry and Director of Public Transport. As Deputy Commissioner, he has served in Meherpur and Dinajpur districts. He joined the Directorate General of Narcotics Control on June 27.
Later, on July 23, he joined the government for a period of one (one) year, being appointed as contract director by the Director General of the Narcotics Control Directorate. He has traveled to the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, India, China, Singapore, Austria and Myanmar for official and training needs. He is the founder of Patiya Shah Amir High School, and during that time he was unpaid Head Teacher of that school. He founded Patiya Diabetes Hospital, Meherpur Diabetes Hospital, and the founder of the first ever Old Monastery in North Bengal in Dinajpur. He also founded Collectorate School & College, and Collectorate Museum.

He joined Bangladesh Police as the Assistant Police Superintendent in the 7th BCS. He served as Assistant Police Superintendent in Narayanganj District, Gopalganj District, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Savar Circle Dhaka, CID Dhaka. He served as Additional Superintendent of Police in Bandarban district and RAB. He was working as Superintendent of Police in Chuadanga District and Magura District and CID Dhaka. The talented officer served as instructor at the Liberia Police Academy, Regional Co-ordinator of the UN Mission Kosovo Community Policing and Domestic Violence, Commander of the National Traffic and Road Safety Unit, in East Timor.

During his employment, he received many trainings abroad, including basic training from Sarda Police Academy Rajshahi, BPATC Savar, basic training from Dhaka, Orientation course from Military Academy, Investigation and supervision course from Police Staff College, Senior Certificate in Military from Dhaka University, completed a Rural Development course from Bard Comilla. He received a Post Blast Investigation Course from the Louisiana Police Academy in the United States, Inter Poll Headquarters, Fingerprint Course from Leo France, He received his training in forensic science from the Korean International Co-operation Agency, South Korea. While working in the CID from April 2008 to February 2012, he recieved the PPM-Service state medal as he completed the case as an officer in charge of the state-of-the-art 10 (ten) truck arms case.
He involved in many social activities. He is a permanent member of the Chittagong Club, a permanent member of the Chittagong Boat Club, a permanent member of the Chittagong Khulshi Club, a member of the Bhatiari Golf and Country Club, a member of the Officers Club of Dhaka, a lifetime member of the Chittagong Association, a lifetime member of the Maa-O-Shishu Hospital, Chittagong, Chittagong Diabetic Hospital. Life Member of Chittagong Kidney Foundation and Sitakunda Society of Chittagong.
He serves as president of the Rotary Club of Chittagong. He has traveled to many countries in his life of service. Notable of these are: - United States, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Czech Republic, Uzbekistan, China, Japan, Liberia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Ireland, Philippines, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Macao, Hong Kong, Turkey, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Australia, East Timor, Nigeria, South Korea, Belgium, Greece, Serbia, Switzerland, Italy Yi, Kuwait, Ivericost, Sierra Leone, Indonesia.

Suraiya has worked extensively to support multiple South & East Asian countries in building institutional capacities for better corporate governance, ensuring efficient use of public funds for improving service delivery to citizens, and for promoting fiscal accountability and transparency. She was instrumental in promoting Donors’ harmonization, public-private partisanship for improved oversight over public expenditure and in developing professional accountancy education to international standards in Bangladesh. She played a pivotal role for bringing development partners under a joint agreement for supporting Bangladesh Government’s largest Public Financial Management reform program that includes support to the Ministry of Finance, Auditor General and Public Accounts Committee of the Bangladesh Parliament. She led several projects to support the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) which brought an innovative framework for mutual collaboration between the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICEAW).
Her initiatives for connecting global knowledge and good practices also led to multiple partnership agreements between institutions/organizations in Bangladesh and other countries. Suraiya writes and appears in various international seminars, talk shows and round table discussions. The topics of discussion covers a wide range of issues including public financial management and governance as well as on the role of accountants as business leaders, women empowerment and gender budgeting. Suraiya acts as a resource person in various discussions and participates in training and courses in the prestigious institutions such as Harvard University. Suraiya is actively involved with various social organizations as an advisor. She is founder of the Khan Foundation that works for the underprivileged people with special focus on education and health.
She also a trusty member of Badiul Alam & Jebunnessa Begum Memorial Foundation. Her entrepreneurial initiatives promote business in hotel and restaurant industry. She is also director of Sajna Hotel and Restaurant in Dhaka and Canada. She received multiple awards. Noteworthy recognitions include Gold Medal by the Honble President of Bangladesh, Shining Personality Award, Appreciation Award, Outstanding Student Award-100 years celebration of Dr. Khastagir School and several special awards by ICAB. She was featured in “Who’s who” magazine as one of the 200 prominent female personalities in Bangladesh. She has been recently nominated as a member of the Global Women Economic Forum.

He obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management (PGDSCM) from Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIMS) in 2014 and got specialized training on IT and Supply Chain Management under HIDA program, AOTS, Japan in 2016. Currently, he is working as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of KDS Textile Mills Limited, KDS Group, Chittagong. He has got multi-faced working experience of more than 20 years with various private sector, MNC and public non-governmental organization. He served as National Finance Consultant under Bangladesh Ministry of H & FW for various donor aided projects in 2008-2009.
