Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation distributed emergency gift items to students and their families
Emergency food items have been distributed among the school-students and their families on 14th June 2020 at the initiative of Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation. Food items were distributed among about 100 families of students of Harbang Girls High School in Chakaria, Chittagong at 10 am on the same day. This project approved by NGO Affairs and Affiliations Bureau of Bangladesh has been implemented in front of the 1st Harbang Union Parishad of Chakria. From a certain distance, each helpless family received a package gift of 26 kg including rice, pulses, oil, potato, onion and chira. Kunming Yundi Behavior and Health Research Center (YUNDI), a reputed Chinese NGO, has provided financial assistance for the distribution of 2600 kg of gifts under the management of Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation.
In the second phase, safety materials were distributed among 200 students of Harbang Girls High School at 12 PM. Each student was given 1 hand sanitizer, 5 masks, 4 soaps and a leaflet with necessary directions. After practical training in safety materials, the students were fed biryani in the afternoon.
The programs were inaugurated by Miranul Imran Miran, chairman of Harbang Union No.1 and president of the union Awami League, under the direction of Syed Shamsul Tabriz, UNO of Chakriya. Chairman of Alhaj Shamsul Hoque Foundation, Engineer Muhammad Nasir Uddin presided over the function. Advisor of the Foundation and Professor of Chemistry Department of Chittagong University Dr. Ismail Hossain were the Chief guest of this program. On behalf of the Foundation, special thanks are extended to Dr. Misbahul Firdaus, who lives in China. The event was graced by Sayedul Abrar, Finance Secretary of the Foundation and Lecturer of Anwara Government College. On this program UP Member Muhammad Harun, Muhammad Elias, Assistant Revenue Officer Salah Uddin, Foundation Officer Nurul Anwar Munna and other eminent personalities of the area were present.
